Samuel L. Jackson will not be replicated by AI when he dies, he says | Digital Trends Spanish

AI has another flank open in the entertainment industry, it is about continuing to “live” artificially after death, with true clones made by artificial intelligence.

But there are already some artists who are taking the issue very seriously, so that they cannot legally be recreated by AI: as in the case of the famous American actor, Samuel L Jackson.

Jackson, who now stars in the Marvel series secret invasion as Nick Fury told rolling stones that he does not want studios to use his image posthumously, and rejects contracts that include clauses to that effect.

“The first time I was scanned was for George Lucas[atthe[enelepisode I of Star Wars],” Jackson said. “George and I are good friends, so we laughed because I thought it was because there were a lot of old people in the episode Iin case something happened to them and I still wanted to put them in the film ”.

However, Jackson said that in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actors are scanned every time there is a costume change.

On one occasion, when he didCaptain Marvelthey used his image to rejuvenate him, and even though it was him performing under a digital cloak, he worried that in the future they might do it without him.

“It could be something to worry about,” he said. “Future actors should do what I always do when they give me a contract that has the words ‘in perpetuity’ and ‘the known and unknown’ in it: cross that shit out. It’s my way of saying, ‘No, I don’t approve of this.’”
