A civil guard in training stationed in Valladolid kills his ex-partner in Belgium

An agent of the Civil Guard stationed in Valladolid has killed his ex-partner, a 23-year-old nurse from Valladolid, Teresa RL, in Brussels. The events occurred on Thursday night, when the subject stabbed the young woman several times. After committing the crime, the suspect jumped out the window and is in the ICU due to injuries, as confirmed by the Government delegate in Castilla y León, Virginia Barcones. Official sources have confirmed that she was in an internship at the Meritorious.

The man had gone to the Belgian capital, where the woman worked, to ask her to come back with him. Given her refusal, he killed her. The alleged perpetrator, César, who had not yet been appointed civil guard, joined this summer from the Baeza Academy in Jaén.

The Valladolid City Council has called a minute of silence, which has been held at 1:00 p.m. The mayor, the councilors of the Government Team and representatives of the municipal groups and numerous workers have gathered in the Plaza Mayor to express their solidarity with the family, and at the same time express their revulsion at the violent death of the young woman.

Official sources have confirmed that the man was in an internship period at the Benemérita. The Belgian Police investigates the case, declared secret.

Barcones has offered condolences to the victim’s family and has insisted that since Interpol gave the notice the information has been “very contradictory”. “We cannot presuppose anything”, stated Barcones.

“We still cannot confirm that it is a case of gender violence”, explained the Government delegate against Gender Violence, Vicky Rosell, who recalled that all consular offices are purple points to advise, inform and assist in repatriation of victims of sexist violence.

The sub-delegate of the Government in Valladolid, Alicia Villar, is in contact with the Spanish consul in Brussels to facilitate procedures such as translation and any help they may need.
