A death from Covid-19 is reported and positivity remains above 3%

The report of the Epidemiology department of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reveals that as of November 27 in Panama there are 477,306 accumulated confirmed cases of Covid-19, of which 210 are new. In the last 24 hours a death is reported for a cumulative of 7,361 deaths and a fatality of 1.5%.

Those recovered amounted to 467,285 after adding 213 new recovered. In the last 24 hours, 6,686 tests were applied for a positivity of 3.1%.

Active cases total 2,660, of which 2,544 are in home isolation and 116 hospitalized. Those who are in home isolation are divided into 2,449 at home and 95 in hotels. There are 93 hospitalized in wards and 23 in ICU.

In the world, 261,071,718 accumulated confirmed cases of Covid-19 are reported, and 5,210,090 deaths for a fatality of 2%.

There will be a vaccination day against Covid-19 during Sunday and Monday

Operation PanavaC-19 continues this weekend with vaccination days at points located in the capital’s main shopping centers and in the Irving Saladino sports city, in Juan Díaz.

On Sunday November 28, celebration of the Bicentennial of the Republica, the day will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the El Dorado shopping center, Soho Mall, Alta Plaza, Mega Mall and Plaza Villa Lucre, the last one from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 00 pm

On Sunday 28 and Monday 29 November the public can also go to the vaccination center installed in the Irving Saladino sports city, starting at 7:00 am, where all the doses against Covid-19 are placed.

Vaccination report: More than 174 thousand booster doses

The report provided by the Expanded Vaccination Program (EPI) reveals that until yesterday they have been applied 6,019,929 doses of vaccine against Covid-19 throughout the national territory.

Details that have been placed 3,091,612 first dose; 2,747,012 second dose; 174,912 booster dose and 6,393 third dose for immunosuppressed.

Coverage in the target population, which is from 12 years of age, is 89.5% with first dose and 79.5% with second dose.

Today, 88 doses were placed in the Herrera health region and 31 in Coclé at the fixed station.
