A forum to help NGOs adapt their fundraising campaigns to the post-pandemic


The Digital Fundraising HUB (DFH), a conference and workshop forum for third sector professionals organized by The Spanish Fundraising Association (AEFr), will celebrate its second edition on October 6 and 7. The event, developed in an online format, will present the latest trends in fundraising and the digital economy for non-governmental organization workers.

According to Fernando Morón, managing director of the AEFr, many non-profit entities, NGOs and foundations have had to adapt their recruitment strategies after the pandemic, now focused on the digital field. “Hence, the importance of the second edition of the Digital Fundraising Hub, which aims to become a space in which Third Sector professionals can share experiences and knowledge with experts in digital marketing and digital fundraising so that they can implement them in their organizations ”, says Morón.

The Spanish Fundraising Association is made up of 126 organizations, which include the Red Cross, Caritas, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, Unicef, Sant Joan de Deu Foundation, WWF, Josep Carreras Foundation, Manos Unidas, Oxfam Intermón or Educo.

On the first day, the influence of social networks on consumer behavior will be analyzed, with a session by José Luis Zimmermann, head of Public Policies for Spain and Portugal at Facebook. The event, sponsored by Banco Santander and the collaboration of Adigital, Grupo Miracom and Rebold, will also organize a workshop on the use of TikTok to create new audiences and raise funds, which will include Nana Crawford, manager of Social Networks of the British Red Cross .

Regarding the sessions of the second day, Damon Crepin-Burr, director of Global Strategy of the ISPD Network, will explain how NGOs can work in the new digital age. Later, Silvia Riera and Aida Vinyes, from Doctors Without Borders, will talk about how to generate web models and strategies to improve the user experience. Sergi Pallarés, co-founder and CEO of StockCrowd, will give a session on the formulas to obtain income through virtual events.

Sara Martínez de Frutos, general director of dgtl Fundraising, and Fernando Guerrero, head of SEO / Birdlife Partners, will teach attendees the process of creating the digital capture program they designed for the environmental organization.

Finally, Agustín Tartari, Project Leader of Doctors Without Borders, and Toni Matas, General Director of Persualia, will comment on the challenges and opportunities of recruitment by instant messaging in Spain.
