A strong explosion has shaken this Friday the luxury hotel Saratoga, located in the historic center of Havana, Cuba. The facade has been destroyed and the cause of the explosion and the number of victims are still unclear.

Several people have been trapped inside the building and citizens are helping to rescue people from the rubble, as can be seen in a video shared by Ruido en la Red.

The Cubadebate portal reports that “the children from the school next to the hotel facility were evacuated” and that “those injured in the explosion” rescued so far have been transferred to the Calixto hospital.
