A technical incident causes the fall of the CaixaBank service in branches, ATMs and their application

CaixaBank, the largest bank in Spain, suffers this Monday a technical incident that prevents normal operations from being carried out both at its offices, ATMs and digital applications. The problems affect customers throughout Spain from the first hour of this Monday.

A technical failure causes the bank’s servers to be working very slowly and causes that, in many cases, it ends up throwing the client out without being able to operate with their accounts. From the entity they explain that they are working to solve this situation and it is expected that it can be operational again throughout the morning. They rule out that it could be due to a computer attack.

The problems, which do not affect all the entity’s services, have caused numerous bank clients to have protested on social networks for not being able to operate with their accounts either in person or digitally. The bank’s Twitter account has acknowledged that it is a “one-off incident” and that work is being done to solve it “as soon as possible.”
