Red Hat Inc., global provider of open source solutions, announced the appointment of Alejandro Raffaele What Head of TME (Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment) at Red Hat Latin America. In this role, the executive will lead the sales organization of this industry in the region, in order to expand coverage and drive growth in the area and in coordination with the company’s global team.
His primary responsibilities will include strategic and business direction for the vertical in the region, in order to secure the positioning of Red Hat’s solutions and capture greater engagement as customers continue to modernize their technologies. 5G, VRAN, OSS / BSS, Media Streaming, content distribution and development of your Edge strategies.
With this designation, Red Hat continues to strengthen its Telco team in the region and positions the solutions of Edge Computing as one of the most relevant trends for the future of business.
Throughout its more than 30 years of experience, Alejandro Raffaele has contributed to the organizational transformation of the companies for which it has collaborated through its knowledge and leadership in the sector, to make them more agile and profitable. Alejandro has solid experience in the telecommunications industry, having served as the chief executive of leading multinational companies in the provision of solutions for mobile data, telephony and entertainment service providers, prior to joining Red Hat.
Before assuming this new position, Alejandro was in charge of the Synergy Office that works with his IBM counterpart ensuring the continuity and neutrality of Red Hat in this new stage, as well as evaluating all the new opportunities that arise from the acquisition as new businesses and offices in the region. Previously, he was responsible for the general direction of Red Hat Mexico with the objective of continuing to promote the development of the company in the country and strengthen its position as the leading provider of enterprise open source solutions.
In his early days at Red Hat, he joined the company as Marketing Director for Latin America, spearheading the Go To Market strategy. ç
Subsequently, he took the position of Global Field Marketing in North Carolina, United States. He also served as ICT Head for Latin America in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area to serve the telecommunications industry.
Alejandro Raffaele is a graduate of the Electronic Engineering of the National Technological University of Argentina, and majored in organizational leadership at the University of Chicago School of Management.
