Nintendo held its first Direct broadcast of the year, which came with announcements of new games, the confirmation of the release date of some others and the announcement of additional content.
If you missed the live stream, here’s a rundown of everything Nintendo announced and what you’ll see in the coming months on your Nintendo Switch.
Fire Emblem Warriors
The Nintendo Switch will have a new crossover of the Dynasty Warriors series and this time, the chosen saga will be Fire Emblem and the Three Houses game universe. The release date was not announced, so we will probably see it in late 2022 or early 2023.
Advance Wars release date
After suffering a delay, we finally know that the release date of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp It will be next April 8. If you are under 20 years old and you don’t know the series, you should know that it is a compilation of two of the most famous strategy games of the Game Boy Advance.
No Man’s Sky is coming to the Switch
No Man’s Skythe video game that was once a total disaster on PlayStation, will have a Nintendo Switch adaptation that will arrive in the summer of 2022. Calm down, the game is now a marvel, so you are only going to have a good time on your Switch.
Return to the Mario Strikers series
The Super Mario Strikers series, which was born on the GameCube, will have a new installment on the Nintendo Switch. It will be called Super Mario Strikers Battle League and will debut on June 10.
New Splatoon 3 gameplay
In addition to showing new gameplay, Nintendo confirmed the salmonids are back.
Front Mission 1st Remake
We don’t know the series (sorry), but Nintendo said it’s a strategy game where you control mechs.
Disney go kart free to play
From the creators of the Asphalt driving games, a free-to-play karting game is coming to the Switch. It’s called Disney Speedstorm.
Port from Star Wars Force Unleashed
So you don’t suffer for not being able to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderNintendo announced that there will be an adaptation of the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Indeed, the Force flows in Force Unleashed.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection
Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on February 17.
SG Gundam Battle Alliance
If you like the Gundam series, this game is for you. The gundams are seen in chibi style.
Chrono Cross Remake
The classic RPG Chrono Cross will have a remake for Switch that will arrive on April 7 under the name of Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition. It will be exclusive to the eShop, so good luck finding a physical edition at Limited Run Games.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land release date
Kirby and the Forgotten Land arrives on March 25 with every intention of giving Nintendo a good fiscal year end.
MLB The Show for Switch
Are you a fan of baseball? Then smile, because for the first time, the MLB The Show series is coming to the Switch. Mark April 5 on your calendar.
Kingdom Hearts Cloud Collection

Klonoa Collection
A collection of games from the Klonoa series will arrive on July 8th. Will include Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil.
Portal for Switch
Portal could not stay without a Switch adaptation, so well, there will be one that you can play in 2022 under the name of Portal: Complementary Collection. It’s called that because you probably already have some version of Portal Over there.
Live to Live in HD
We don’t know either, and the reason is that the game never left Japan. It is an RPG with elements of action games. The best thing is that it combines pixel art with modern graphics.
Nintendo Switch Sports
The Wii Sports series is back, only now it’s called Nintendo Switch Sports. It is played the same, but with the joy con. There will be an online playtest from February 19-20.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival
We also don’t know the series (again). It’s a rhythm game with a feeling Japanese to the max, but it looks addictive. It will have a subscription service to access 500 songs, including several from The Legend of Zelda.
New Triangle Strategy demo
Square Enix’s strategy RPG that sports beautiful pixel art graphics will have a new demo that you can now download. Triangle Strategy comes out March 4.
New look at the Cuphead DLC
We already know that it is called Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course and that it comes out on June 30. What we didn’t know is that it will include a character named Ms. Chalice.
Free update for Metroid Dread
Basically three game modes will be added. In one any blow eliminates you, it is for the players who dominate the game. Another mode regenerates you energy and is designed for those who suffer with the difficulty. Those modes arrive with an update available today.
In April, another update will include a mode where you can take on all the bosses in one session.
Earthbound for Switch Online
You can play the cult SNES RPG with a subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service. There will also be a kind of prologue called Earthbound Beginnings.
DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
A package with 48 additional tracks will arrive on March 18 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but there is jiribilla. If you want it, you will have to pay $25, but you will receive all 48 tracks in batches of eight. The last ones will come out in 2023. And there is more jiribilla: the tracks are included in the expansion of the Switch Online subscription, to see if you dare.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
nintendo announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It will arrive in September this year.
