Amcham organizes the VII Sustainability Forum: “Rebuilding a Sustainable Future”

The American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) de Panama organize the VII Sustainability Forum “Rebuilding a Sustainable Future”To be held on Wednesday, October 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., virtually, with the aim of creating spaces for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and ideas between key stakeholders, public and private, to generate actions and make contributions that reinforce the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals and the sustainability of the country.

In 2021, following the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Amcham Panama organizes this Forum because it considers it imperative to contribute to an agile and effective reconstruction of new roads and actions that allow private companies to continue making a solid contribution to the economic sustainability of Panama.

This event will feature the participation of international and local experts who will give a regional and global vision of the actions that as a country, as a company and as individuals should be taken in terms of sustainability to achieve together the goal of ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

The president of Amcham Panama, Enrique Aguirre will give the opening remarks of the Forum and the keynote address “Sustainable Economic Growth: Challenges and Opportunities for Recovery”Will be given by the international lecturer Lucas Pussetto, professor at Aden School of Government.

Similarly, a first-level panel will be presented that will address the topic “Roadmap for a Sustainable Recovery”With the participation of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (Mici), Miguel Bolinaga, president of AES Panama, Jorge Arosemena, executive president of the City of Knowledge and María Noel Vaeza, regional director of UN Women for the Americas and the Caribbean.

During the Forum, Amcham will honor the companies that participated in the program “Social Window – Pandemic Resilient Adaptation Programs”And a summary of the 10 years of the Sustainable Leadership Recognition, the Chamber’s flagship program of corporate social responsibility, will be presented, as well as the new basis of the Sustainable Leadership Recognition 2022 edition.
