AMD gives your GPU a 92% performance boost for free | Digital Trends Spanish

AMD gave us another reason to choose Team Red over Nvidia’s Team Green with a powerful driver update earlier today. The Adrenaline 22.7.1 driver update gives AMD Radeon GPUs a whopping 92% performance increase, along with some quality of life improvements.

The news was released unannounced by AMD in a release note on your website. AMD said in its release notes that the update brings higher performance refresh rates for several lines of GPUs, including the 6900, 5700 and Vega series.

The driver update also brought some improvements to other areas of GPU performance. A new noise suppression update cancels out background noise during video calls and recordings. Parents working from home can meet up with their teams while their kids bounce around them, and the GPU will auto-focus on the speaker while muting the chaos. This works a lot like Nvidia’s RTX Voice software, which has been around since 2020.

However, it is important to note that noise suppression only works on computers with an AMD Ryzen 5000 processor and above. It appears that the feature is heavily processor-based, although we have yet to confirm the actual process involved.

The update brings improvements to OpenGL for Radeon graphics. AMD’s own testing showed a 92% increase in FPS at 4K with Minecraft on the Ryzen 7 and RX 6800T processors, and up to 89% faster on the RX 6950 XT processors.

Another quality of life improvement included with the driver update is Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) can now be used by laptops using Ryzen hybrid graphics systems. RSR improves game performance by up to 70% by leveraging deep core abilities. It has been available on later Radeon GPUs for desktops since January, so this update means that AMD is taking the gaming laptops.

Finally, the adrenaline update 22.7.1 brings Radeon Boost to some graphically intense games, including Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village Y Valorant. Radeon Boost smoothly lowers resolution during fast-action scenes to maintain higher FPS, thereby reducing lag and keeping graphics looking sharp.

The Adrenaline 22.7.1 update is free for anyone with compatible hardware, which is free to download with the update. of the controller from this link.
