AMLO government will advance payment of pension and scholarships due to electoral ban

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that his government will seek a way to deliver in advance scholarships, pensions and social programs in the states where elections will be held this year.

Questioned about this issue during the morning conference this Monday, the president assured that the Secretary of Welfare will present a plan for the delivery of resources, since this year there will be two elections: the mandate revocation query in April 2022 and ordinary for election of governor in Aguascalientes, Durango, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo and Tamaulipas in June.

“We are going to find a way to deliver support to older adults, people with disabilities and scholarships in advance, because elections are coming and there will be an electoral ban. Let’s review the law. Last time the payments were advanced and if necessary now, we are going to do it so that the support reaches the people”, he sentenced.


“Y have to do it soon, because the payment for this two-month period is already being delivered, which is January-February, I already think that March-April, May-June, are four months, two bimesters would have to be brought forward”, he added.

From the National Palace, the head of the federal Executive promised that on January 31 the cabinet of the Secretary of Welfare will present information on the advance delivery of scholarships and pensions due to the electoral ban and on the procedures for replacing cards. .

Elections 2022

On June 5, more than 6 million Mexicans will elect their governors and local representatives.

The process of proselytizing in the six states with election will be carried out from April 3 to Wednesday June 1. It will be 60 days of campaign.
