The chain of cinemas Regal, announced that it began to allow the payment of tickets with bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and other cryptocurrencies. The option is available in its 514 facilities located throughout the United States.

The American company reported through a release that, to accept cryptocurrencies, partnered with Flexa, a digital payments platform, which is powered by the Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN).

In addition to bitcoin and ether, Regal also began accepting the cryptocurrencies litecoin (LTC) and dogecoin (DOGE) and the chainlink (LINK), cosmos (ATOM) and basic attention token (BAT) tokens, among others. More movie theaters incorporate bitcoin

Regal isn’t the first movie theater company in America to accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Recently, CriptoNoticias reported that the AMC chain, Regal’s competitor, also incorporated cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.

The difference in AMC is that the option to pay with cryptocurrencies is only enabled for online purchases.
