Antai sanctions six public servants for administrative offenses and the Code of Ethics

A total of six financial penalties imposed the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (Antai), to public servants for administrative irregularities, breaches of the Code of Ethics and breach of access to information.

According to a statement from Antai, the penalties imposed range from 20% to 50% of the monthly salary of public servants of the Communal Board of Puerto Caimito, Benemy Fire Department of Panama, National Lottery of Charity and the Ministry of Health.

He explained that in the case of the Puerto Caimito Community Board, they were fined for non-compliance with Law 33 of 2013; andn the case of the Meritorious Fire Department, due to improper use of State assets; in the case of the National Charity Lottery, for administrative irregularities and in the Ministry of Health for breach of the right of access to information.

Law 33 empowers Anati to apply fines to public servants up to an amount that does not exceed 50% of your monthly salary.
