Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is usually accurate when it comes to predictions about Apple’s future plans. Now, he has shared information about the next smartphones that the company could launch.
According 9to5Mac, Kuo has announced that the firm could launch four new iPhone models during the second half of next year, including two lower-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models.
The analyst thinks that the 6.7-inch economic model could cost less than $ 900. It would be the first time that Apple launched an inexpensive model with a large screen.
Thus, the company could eliminate the mini version from its range due to poor sales. In fact, the iPhone 12 mini is the best-selling model of the four devices the company launched in 2020.
In this way, the budget 6.7-inch iPhone could become a great attraction for users who want a phone with a large screen, but at a low price.
Kuo has also pointed out that iPhones that are released in 2022 could have Touch ID under the screen. The technology of this fingerprint scanner would be being developed by Apple itself.
The announcement also mentions an improvement in the resolution of the cameras of the PRO models, reaching up to 48 megapixels.
In a previous report, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple could launch a third-generation iPhone SE during the first half of next year. This model will have 5G connectivity in addition to including a new processor.
It is very likely that it is the A15 Bionic chip, which could be presented together with the iPhone 13.
