Aragonès, “annoyed” with Junts for the names proposed for the dialogue table

The names proposed by Junts per Catalunya to form part of the dialogue table have caused a new crisis between the two partners of the Government. The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, is “annoyed” because only one of the four representatives raised by Junts, the vice-president Jordi Puigneró, is part of the Executive, unlike the spokesperson in Congress, Míriam Nogueras, and the general secretary and the vice president of Junts, Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Turull.

This has been explained to by sources from the Presidency of the Generalitat, who make Junts ugly for having proposed their names “at the last minute”, when there are only 24 hours left for the meeting of the dialogue table. The Junts’ proposal must be agreed upon at the Govern meeting on Tuesday, the same sources have warned, recalling that what was agreed with La Moncloa was that the negotiation would be “from government to government”, and therefore with representatives of both Executives .

Unlike Junts, who with Sànchez and Turull wants to place two convicted of sedition pardoned by the Government on the table, ERC has not proposed either Oriol Junqueras or any other convicted of sedition. The Republicans have proposed the Minister for the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà, and the Minister for Business, Roger Torrent;

In addition, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Monday that he would lead the Government delegation at the meeting of the dialogue table this Wednesday in Barcelona. It will be composed of the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños; the second vice president and head of Labor, Yolanda Díaz; the Minister of Territorial Policy and spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez; that of Transport, Raquel Sánchez; that of Culture, Miquel Iceta; and that of Universities, Manuel Castells.
