Arcos Dorados extends its free trainings for young people and will incorporate new content in 2022

Golden arches, the franchise that operates the brand McDonald‘s in 20 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean, announced that given the growing demand and the continuous registration of its free digital trainings – which already have the participation of more than 22,000 young people from 54 different countries – it will expand this initiative so that more people They can train in different skills that are useful for their future work.

Therefore, it will extend the project beyond the end of the year and will include new content during the first months of 2022.

In this way, the interested parties will be able to continue accessing the free and digital content, entering the platform., and thus obtain their official certificate from Hamburger University, the largest corporate university and leader in the region, noted for promoting the pillars of leadership, performance and culture, which provides participants with an endorsement of their skills in the search for a first job or new opportunities in their professional careers.

“We are proud to be able to contribute to the training of more than 22,000 young people in just 6 months. We understood that there is still much to do in our purpose to allow them and many others to continue learning and deepening knowledge for their professional development. The great reception of the courses indicates that we are on the right path ”, he stated David Grinberg, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Arcos Dorados.

The initiative had arisen in response to one of the main problems in the region, which is youth unemployment.

Based on an opinion study, carried out in August by the company together with the consulting firm Trendsity, 61% of young people between 16 and 25 years old had considered it necessary to have training to strengthen their skills and compensate for the lack of experience when obtaining a first formal job. In addition, 66% had indicated employment as a priority need, while 51% declared that education is one of the keys to their future.

“We should all take time to reflect on these issues. The course is practical and of great learning, I loved the experience. I recommend it ”, he said Mayara Milani, 24-year-old from Brazil, one of the participants in this edition, who did the training in Health and Wellbeing.
