As if nothing had happened: the AI project that brings deceased celebrities to life | Digital Trends Spanish

An interesting job with AI and through portraits is being done by the photographer and artist Alper Yesiltaswho “resurrected” the celebrities and placed them in their possible current facet if they were still alive.

Thus, celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, John Lennon or Princess Diana of Wales, among others, are on the list.

The project called it “Like Nothing Happened,” which uses various photo-editing programs like Adobe Lightroom and VSCO, as well as AI Remini photo enhancement software.

Yesiltas commented on the Petapixel site how he was inspired to do this work:

“With the development of AI technology, I have been excited for a while, thinking that anything imaginable can be shown in reality. When I started playing with technology, I saw what it could do and thought about what would make me the happiest. I wanted to see some of the people I missed in front of me again and that’s how this project came about. Behind this project is the question of what people would look like photorealistically if some big events had not happened to them. Another of the photographer’s reflections is about the most complicated part of doing this work:

“The hardest part of the creative process for me is making the image feel “real” to me. The moment that I like the most is when I think that the image in front of me looks very realistic, as if it had been taken by a photographer, ”he added.
