At least five injured when a car hit the terrace of a bar in Marbella

Five people have had to be evacuated by the health services after colliding and hitting a car on the terrace of a bar in the urban center of the Malaga town of Marbella, as reported by the Councilor for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz. Thus, according to what has been specified to Europa Press, one of the evacuated people is a woman who has “a certain gravity”; in addition to that there have been several assisted in the area.

The mayor has indicated that the driver, a man of about 30 years old and of Spanish nationality, who at the time of the collision was accompanied in the vehicle by more people, has been arrested, pointing out that “the appropriate tests are being carried out” to try to clarify the circumstances of the outrage.

As he explained, the vehicle has entered from the left side of the Miguel Cano pedestrian street, in the urban center of Marbella, running over pedestrians and customers who were on the terrace of the establishment until it has finished embedded at the end of the road.

From 112 they have indicated to Europa Press that around 3:25 p.m. they have received the first of a dozen calls in which the alerters reported what happened. Then, the Local and National Police and health services have been notified, which have displaced several emergency units to the area.
