In the first major crypto sports sponsorship deal in Australia, the Australian Football League (AFL) has partnered with Crypto.com to endorse its women’s league (AFLW).
The deal is valued at about $25 million over the next five years, a notable increase from the $18.5 million endorsement deal the AFL had with Toyota (T:). Crypto.com is a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange that offers cryptocurrency-backed digital wallets and debit cards.

The partnership will mark the first time that Crypto.com has sponsored an Australian sports team. It will also be the first time it has sponsored an elite women’s sporting competition around the world, a milestone that AFL Executive General Manager of Clients and Commercial Kylie Rogers said she is “proud” to be a part of.
