Batgirl: directors rescued film on their cell phones | Digital Trends Spanish

An emergency backup situation had to be made by the directors of the canceled film batgirlAdil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, after they discovered that they had already lost full access to the film they had worked on for so long.

This was even before the cancellation of the tape by HBO, since one day they realized that they could no longer work on their material.

What came next was a desperate measure:

Through by SKRIPT: «When asked if they still had any footage from the film, Arbi and Fallah said no and that the studio had blocked their access to the production’s servers. ‘No, we have nothing! Adil called me and said, “go ahead, shoot some stuff on your cell phone.” I went to the server and everything was locked down,” Fallah said.

The directors admit that the film still needed a lot of work, even if they had pulled the footage from the servers, there is no way they would have been able to create a film in line with their original vision of what they have finished so far.
