Beats Studio Pro Review: Good for Android and iPhone | Digital Trends Spanish

Beats Studio Buds review: as good for Android as they are for iOS

“The Beats Studio Pro are headphones with excellent sound and good compatibility with Android, although they will disappoint Apple users because it does not have an H1 chip that would give it many more functions.”

  • Good noise cancellation

  • Very good sound quality

  • Comfortable to wear

  • Sturdy casing

  • Three different colors

  • They don’t have wireless charging

  • They do not have an H1 chip to give more functions to Apple users

Beats, a sub-brand of Apple, launched the Beats Studio Buds, and while they are not necessarily the AirPods Pro 2 that we expected, they come at a reasonable price and with features that make them good for Android and iOS, as well as some of the ones we selected in our list of best hearing aids of 2021.

The new Beats Studio Buds come in a small box unlike the Powerbeats Pro, which did not fit in your pocket. To this we must add that Beats designed the exterior of the headphones to be Comfortable and easy to grip and fit in your ear, they are not anything fancy or bean-shaped like the Galaxy Buds Live.

The headphones come in white, red and black.

The Beats Studio Buds will disappoint Apple users a bit, since they do not include a special chip like the AirPods Pro, but their connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.2, so they do not have special functions for the iPhone such as the size test. of ear flakes or optimized spatial sound without loss or latency.

That makes the Beats Studio Buds have the same benefits for iOS and Android users. Among them we have active noise cancellation, transparency mode and the possibility of finding them through the function of locating devices from both platforms.

When you connect them with Android, you can use the app from Beats to configure in which headset you want to activate the virtual assistant or noise cancellation.

As for the battery, the company says that you can have up to 24 hours of autonomy: the headphones alone can give you up to 8 hours of battery; the rest you will get by putting them in the box. However, its performance decreases faster if you have the noise cancellation mode activated.

These headphones have IPX4 water resistance, which means they will take the sweat of your workout, but not necessarily a fall in the pool.

In my tests, the sound of the highs and lows of the Beats Studio Buds was good, at the level of what we could expect from the company. To that we must add that its noise cancellation is good, although not as powerful as that of the AirPods Pro, which I have used for more than a year.

Regarding the quality of the calls, I have mixed feelings. In my initial tests people complained that they didn’t hear me well, but after a few days the complaints stopped and on occasion they told me that it sounded better than with my AirPods Pro.

In any case, after much testing, the Beats microphone passed the test.

The Beats Studio Pro They cost $ 149.99 ($ 100 cheaper than the AirPods Pro). If you are not a user of multiple Apple devices, the Beats are ideal for you, however, you must bear in mind that by not having the H1 chip like the AirPods Pro, the Beats will not automatically switch from your cell phone to the computer, for example, and you will not be able to say “Hey Siri” either, but you will always have to press a button to activate your virtual assistant.
