Timothée Chalamet, one of the main stars of the film adaptation of Dune, had a dark and strange past like youtuber dedicated to modifying Xbox 360 controls.

The discovery was made thanks to extensive site investigation Motherboard, which analyzed various old images of the actor. But the main evidence is in the scar on one of the fingers of Chalamet’s left hand, visible in promotional photos of films and also in a video on his YouTube channel.

The videos on his channel were published in 2010, when the actor was around 15 years old. In these videos you can’t see his face, but you can hear his adolescent voice explaining the paint job on the controls. And the scar is clearly visible.

On Motherboard they also discovered that an image posted on Instagram by the actor has elements that coincide in the videos and that reveal that both images and videos were portrayed in the same piece. Matching items include the floor mat or chair he’s sitting on.

Although at first there were doubts about whether Timothée Chalamet was really the person behind the YouTube channel, in the end everything was confirmed thanks to the actor himself who in a previous interview had revealed his secret: he painted Xbox controls with his own designs and barely reached to have three clients:

Chalamet is now an established Hollywood star and his most recent success is Dune, film that will also have a second part to be released in 2023. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures will bring back both the actor and Dennis Villeneuve, a director who achieved what many fans of the original work have been waiting for decades.
