A wealthy client of the Bentley dealership in Orlando, Florida, had a custom version of the 2022 Bentley Bentayga made. The manufacturer was so pleased with the result, that it decided to issue a press release to show the world the ultra-luxurious space-themed SUV. , which was christened the Bentley Bentayga Space Edition.
The Bentley Bentayga is an SUV like few others. Its extreme luxury and abundant power are something very few builders have the ability or the appetite to replicate. In addition, the Bentayga will forever be able to claim credit for being the first SUV made by a super-luxury car brand. Indeed, without the success of the Bentayga, vehicles like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan or the Mercedes-Maybach GLS would not exist today.
At the top of the lineup is the Bentayga Speed, powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine making 626 horsepower. That was the van taken as the basis for the retrofit work, which was carried out by Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house custom car and personalization division.
The truck’s color is a dark metallic gray with subtle green undertones that Bentley inaugurated on the 2003 Continental GT. This gives it a solid, almost monolithic appearance, enhanced by the use of the Blackline specification that blacks out all silver exterior trim, such as grille and wheels, with gloss black versions. Gloss black and carbon fiber accents on the underside of the vehicle are highlighted by stripes in an Orange Flame color inspired by cometary dust trails and add a brilliant contrast to the vehicle’s overall tone.

Once inside its sumptuous cabin, the first custom feature to be seen, whenever the door is open, is beautiful illuminated running boards depicting planets orbiting the sun. Orange bezels stand out on the dash, highlighting the unusual stone panels set in front of the occupants and on the door panels.
The buyer-tailored seats are adorned with orange accents and, like much of the cabin surfaces, are lined with leather in colors called beluga and porpoise (black and gray, basically). According to Bentley, they “provide a dark background similar to the night sky for color accents.”
The satin black speaker grilles, from Bentley’s exclusive Naim sound system, hide discreetly in the shadows, with the central Naim badges lit up like stars in the night. We also see orange accents on the steering wheel and gear selector.
The manufacturer did not reveal what the final price of this Bentley Bentayga Space Edition was, but if we consider that the initial price of the Bentayga Speed is $260,000 dollars, and in view of the extensive customization work carried out by Mulliner, we believe that the invoice The final price for this truck—which will spend its days in Mickey Mouse land—must have easily exceeded $400,000.
