Bésame Mucho: the festival that revolutionized social networks | Digital Trends Spanish

A few days ago an event was announced in Los Angeles, California, which revolutionized social networks: the music festival called Bésame Mucho (yes, in honor of the classic bolero composed by Consuelo Velázquez in 1932 and popularized by Luis Miguel and many other artists to over the years).

This is a mega-concert organized by Tropicalia and La Tocada that will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Dodger Stadium. And not only does it promise a diversity of musical genres, but it will also feature the participation of 50 world-class Latin artists, marking the event as the most important for the Spanish-speaking community in the United States.

The list of artists is for all tastes and ages, including some that marked an entire generation in Latin America, such as Caifanes or Café Tacvba, to those that make anyone dance like Los Tigres del Norte and Los Ángeles Azules. But that’s not all, pop will also be present with bands like Sin Bandera, OV7 and La Oreja de Van Gogh.

Now, if you think of a “music festival”, events like Coachella or Lollapalooza, which take place over several days, probably come to mind. But the case of Bésame Mucho is surprisingly different, since it intends to take place in just one day.

However, just taking a look at the poster full of artists with a high capacity for individual call, suggests that it will be an impossible task. But, apparently, to carry out the feat, the event will take place from 11 in the morning until 11 at night and will have three stages for different audiences.

The first stage revealed by the event poster is the “Rockero Stage”, which will feature Caifanes, Café Tacvba, Juanes, Enanitos Verdes, Hombres G, Julieta Venegas, Zoé, Molotov, El Tri, Mägo de Oz, Panteón Rococó, Fobia , Ximena Sariñana, The Great Silence, Inspector, Moenia, Elephant, Kinky, Tijuana No! And Arath Herce.

Later, there is “Las Clásicas Stage”, a stage that will receive Los Tigres Del Norte, Los Ángeles Azules, Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos Del Norte, Banda Machos, Grupo Kual?, Mi Banda El Mexicano De Herman Koman, Los Rieleros Del Norte, Sonora Santanera, Grupo Soñador, Los Rhythm Partners, Ángeles Negros, Jeanette, Los Yaguaru De Angel Venegas, Los Llaras, Alberto Pedraza, Sonora Dinamita, Aaron y Su Grupo Ilusión, Los Ángeles De Charly, Freddy’s , Los Askis, Los Cadetes De Linares and Los Yonics.

Finally, the stage “Do you like pop?” appears, which will include Sin Bandera, OV7, Nek, Fey, Kabah and Caló, adding as special guests La Oreja de Van Gogh, Kumbia Kings, Aleks Syntek, Elvis Crespo, Opposite Senses and Solid Gold (which suggests that these last six will take part in the shows of the first, although it is not clear).

Despite revealing that the concert will have three stages, netizens began to question the possibility of an event of this magnitude, considering the number of bands and the short time for all of them to perform. But others ignored the debate and simply expressed their joy at the possibility of seeing some of the best Latin American groups in a single instance.

Another reason it’s fake is how will 53 artists perform in one day? Dodger Stadium isn’t ample for 3 stages. To many holes in this B.

Some users also claimed that the stages could be rotating, which would make each artist play for about 20 or 25 minutes. However, the organizers have not yet given details on the logistical implementation of the festival.

In any case, Bésame Mucho promises to leave a mark and be one of the most relevant events for the Latino community in the United States, in fact, its chaotic ticket sales are an indication of this.

The sale of tickets for the Bésame Mucho festival began on February 18 and in just 70 minutes everything was sold. Tickets started at $199.99 (general), going through an intermediate offer of $259.99, and ended at $324 (VIP), plus service charges.

Fortunately, those left without tickets can enter the website of the concert and sign up for a waiting list to get some later. But consider that prices have increased: the cheapest ticket is now $229.99 and the most expensive $449.99.
