“Black humor with a heart”: the bet of the series My uncle | Digital Trends Spanish

For March 25, 2022, the premiere of My uncle, a series of “black humor with a heart” starring José Eduardo Derbez. Pantaya will be the broadcast platform for the United States and Puerto Rico, while the rest of Latin America will be able to enjoy it on Prime Video.

The comedy tells the story of Andy (Jose Eduardo Derbez), whose life seems to have little meaning after a love disappointment. Everything changes when her sister Sam de ella (Ariadne Díaz) asks her to take care of her little son Tadeo (Santiago Beltrán).

After a while, a warm connection develops between the frustrated musician and his nephew, a 10-year-old hypochondriac and quite a nerd. His very different personalities will lead them to forge a great friendship and strengthen a family bond that originally did not exist.

Eduardo Yáñez, Gema Garoa, Michelle González, María López, Luis Arrieta and Alfonso Borbolla also participate in the six-episode series. The realization is based on Unclewhich was produced by Baby Cow, written by Oliver Refson and Lilah Vandenburgh, and distributed by BBC Studios.

The Latin American adaptation was directed by Javier Colinas, who worked on the basis of the scripts by Charlie “El Huevo” Barrientos, Aldeni Fraga and Mao Garcia. My uncle It was produced by Eckehardt von Damm, Sandro Halphen and Roberto Fiesco of Corazón Films, along with Mario Almeida, Iliana Reyes Chávez, Javier Colinas and Carla Farell.
