Bollywood premieres its version of the Avengers: ‘Brahmāstra’ | Digital Trends Spanish

Bollywood can always go further and its incredible industry has now presented the trailer for ‘Brahmāstra’, a film of heroes with super powers who face a secret society in the style of avengers.

Based on Indian mythology, ‘Brahmāstra’ is directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy.

Based on Indian mythology, the film is set in contemporary India, where a secret society called the Brahmansh has guarded ‘Astras’ (divine weapons) created in ancient India for generations. The most powerful among these, the Brahmastra, is now awakening and threatens to destroy the universe.

Constructed as a trilogy, part of an “Astraverse” created by Mukerji, the first part follows the protagonist Shiva (Kapoor), who is in love with Isha (Bhatt). Their lives change forever when Shiva learns that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmastra and a great power within him that he does not yet understand: the power of fire.

“It’s deeply rooted in Indian culture, and we had the opportunity to create our own Marvel, which Ayan is trying to do with her Astraverse,” Ranbin Kapoor told Variety. “Any movie, any good compelling story, made in their culture, in an authentic way, in a true way, is going to connect with a huge audience.”
