Bomb Crypto: The Crypto Bomberman Turned a Binance Smart Chain Sensation

Play-to-earn games are attracting more and more attention from the world as they are games where people earn cryptocurrencies by playing a few hours a day.

The last fever of the crypto universe was the game Axie Infinity, inspired by the Pokémon franchise and the Tamagotchis. Based on the Ethereum network, the platform brings different little creatures known as “Axie”. These pets are NFTs, that is, Non-Fungible Tokens, and each one is unique, having its “impression” on the Blockchain.

Since its launch in September of last year, the game has seen great growth, by the way, the game Bomb Crypto, has become the newest sensation on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), surpassing the rest of Binance’s projects, having registered the highest number of active users in the first week of January.

The game works like this: similar to a blockbuster from the 80s and 90s, Bomberman, has players who blast blocks to collect BCoins, the platform’s native cryptocurrency.

On the afternoon of 01/20/2021, according to CoinMarketCap, each unit of the digital asset was worth $3. For comparison purposes, on 10/01/2021, days after the game was launched, the currency was around US $1.7.

To start playing Bomb Crypto, it is necessary to acquire at least one hero for the treasure hunt mode. In the newly released adventure mode, you must have a minimum of 15 heroes and a maximum of 50. Each character costs 10 BCoins, which is equivalent to US$ 30.

You can upgrade your heroes, either by merging them together or by paying additional fees to upgrade. However, when you merge your hero with another and level up, the other hero ceases to exist. It is also possible to acquire a house for your heroes, which will bring benefits to you in the game.

Bomb Crypto is already showing great promise, attracting more than 800,000 users since its launch last year. The company behind the game, Senspark, intends to add a hero marketplace to run soon, creating a secondary market in the game.

For Felippe Quites, CEO of Khal Special Forces, one of the largest organizations specialized in play-to-earn games in Brazil, the future of this market, in general, will be very promising, since large players in the traditional game market are already starting to post in this new modality.
