BRASILIA — Brazil’s central bank chief Roberto Campos Neto said on Thursday he sees “a very reasonable investment inflow” to the country in the short term and stressed that markets are relatively well behaved over this year’s presidential elections.

Speaking at an event hosted by financial advisory firm Legend Investimentos, Campos Neto pointed out the currency is being supported by the rapid adjustment in interest rates amid aggressive monetary tightening, and mentioned the positive fiscal surprise and higher commodity prices as key elements.
