With a video on YouTube, which you can see below, Crescendo showed how he plays the classic from start to finish Super Mario Bros. completely bandaged and stopping the stopwatch at 11 minutes 55 seconds.

According to the video description, Crescendo spent 40 hours attempting this record. To achieve this, in addition to perfectly synchronizing each movement counting the seconds, he listened to the sounds and took them as signals to make sure that the elements of the environment were in the right place and at the right time, such as when the fireballs hit the walls. “The fact that I’m a musician also helped that,” he says.

Crescendo beat record speedrunner Dodai, who first achieved the milestone in 2016, finishing the game in 14 minutes and 46 seconds. It is not known how many players have attempted this feat, but at least, so far, only these two players have achieved the record of finishing.
