The amount of Apple CarPlay compatible cars continues to increase along with the systems of infotainment. To run CarPlay, you’ll need an iPhone 5 or newer with iOS 7.1 or later. You will also need a compatible vehicle. Finding one was easier said than done in 2014, but thankfully manufacturers have gradually embraced the technology (and its rival, Android Auto).
