Casado calls Sánchez to offer him his support in managing the Ukraine crisis

The president of the PP, Pablo Casado, called Pedro Sánchez on Wednesday to offer him the support of his party in managing the crisis in Ukraine and “to exercise his obligations within NATO”, according to sources from the formation.

According to a statement from the PP, Casado has also urged Sánchez to appear in the Congress of Deputies “for the sake of greater transparency in this crisis”, a request that they will formalize in the next few hours.

The leader of the opposition has conveyed to the President of the Executive “the importance of unity of action within the government, as is happening in the rest of the European countries”.

This call comes after repeated requests from the PP in recent days for Sánchez to call Casado and just a few hours after the government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, offered the ‘popular’ leader to telephone the president to talk about the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

In an interview on Televisión Española, Rodríguez declared that “if Mr. Casado wants to speak with the Prime Minister, all he has to do is call and pick up the phone or send a message, there is no problem”
