On Friday, CasperLabs, a blockchain software company, announced a partnership with the China Blockchain Services Network, or BSN. Through the deal, which has been coined a non-fungible token, or NFT, in commemoration, Casper Network will be added as the blockchain network of choice to the Fuzhou City chain for use in public crypto infrastructure developments and in the region, nicknamed “Fuzhou Chain powered by Casper”. RockTree Capital, a New York-based investment firm, played a key role in brokering the deal between Casper and Fuzhou City.
According to stakeholders, the primary goal of the partnership is to enable the BSN to benefit from Casper’s scalability, security, and decentralization, as well as the use of the Open Permission Blockchain protocol, or OPB, to eliminate the need for use cryptocurrencies to pay gas fees. Since its launch in 2019, BSN has expanded to more than 120 public city nodes across China, which serve as data centers that run and process transactions on its blockchain networks.
