Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, called for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to be released as he is "unjustly in jail." The president affirmed that the Australian activist, who is being held in London's Belmarsh prison awaiting extradition to the United States, is treated "viciously" for revealing cases of espionage, similar to those that have recently become known with the Pegasus software.
