New groups QAnon are growing at a rapid pace on Facebook and its parent Instagram, whose followers are responsible for spreading absurd and unfounded conspiracy theories.
This was established by an investigation of The Guardian, which detected 170 groups, pages and accounts on Facebook and Instagram, which accumulate more than 4.5 million followers in at least 15 countries.
The media registered at the end of June more than a hundred pages, profiles, groups and accounts with at least 1,000 followers, the largest of which had 150,000 followers, with a total of 3 million.
By Sunday, August 9, they had experienced an increase of close to 34 percent. The largest included more than 200,000 members.
