Tesla was also crashing on Wall Street after a Twitter poll by CEO Elon Musk proposing to sell one-tenth of his stakes garnered 57.9% of votes in favor. The proposal also raised questions about whether Musk may have violated his agreement with the US regulator again.
For their part, Las Shares of the payment platform Paypal, on the Nasdaq index of the New York Stock Exchange, plummet 11.5% on Wall Street after the company cut its earnings forecasts for the full year.

For its part on Wall Street, after the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed at record highs on Monday for the eighth consecutive session, while the Dow Jones registered its second consecutive closing record, all three indices plummeted.
The S&P 500 fell 0.5%, the Nasdaq fell 0.6% and finally the Dow Jones fell 0.6%.
