We finally got a glimpse of what’s to come with the new remake of dead space originalsimply titled dead space. The new trailer shows off a vastly improved game engine using the Frostbite engine and brand new gameplay enhancements.
Rumors of a remake of dead space they started in 2021, as leaks indicated that the project was in the works at EA. The game was officially announced back in May, but this is the first time we’ve seen a full look at its gameplay.
The trailer for the remake of dead space shows us that the game shares many of the rhythms of the original, but like the recent remake from The Last of Us, The Last of Us Part I, is determined to offer the best experience possible. This enhanced experience comes not only from graphical updates, but also from new gameplay additions. EA shared some of the new features players can expect in the remake.
- The Peeling System: Introduces the ability to pierce through specific areas of enemy necromorphs’ flesh, bone, and tendons to weaken them in different ways, adding more strategy to encounters.
- The Intensity Director: A dynamic camera that changes what appears in Isaac’s path, such as enemies, environmental effects, and more.
An immediately apparent addition is the voice of Isaac. Veteran players of the Dead Space series will instantly remember that the protagonist of the franchise is a silent protagonist in the original title. In this remake, he has been changed to a voiced character, giving this enhanced experience a new edge and offering a new flavor for those who have played the original.
