The National Commission of Free Zones recently approved the license for the establishment of the manufacturing and assembly company FADTAP, SA, which will initially invest $881,080.00 for your operation in the free zone of Chilibre, in the North Panama sector.
FADTAP, SA, pioneer in the region in the manufacture of steel caps for tanks, will export its products to the entire continent, and plans to generate more than 40 direct and indirect jobs in the isthmus.
“The commercial decision of this company, to move its operations from Chile to Panama, denotes the great interest aroused by Panamanian special regimes, in this case free zones. Likewise, the Made in Panama brand is very attractive to them as industrialists,” said Ámbar Ruiz Chaperón, General Director of Free Zones of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (Mici).
He stressed that the company’s experience in reusing steel will be very important for the country, as well as the technology they will implement to expand the packaging assembly and production processes, which will benefit local companies in terms of cost reduction.
“This kind of contribution raises our competitiveness and increases productive linkages from the free zones, with which the benefits of the regime reach more companies and more workers in Panama”, he said.
In the same session, the Commission approved the expansion of operations of the company Panama eBay PTY, INC., which develops real estate activities in Panapark Free Zone.
