At the recent Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) -China Special Summit to mark the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-China dialogue relations, China said it is willing to work with Aasean member countries. to jointly build a “sanitary shield” for the region.

Under this initiative, China is willing to donate an additional 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to ASEAN member countries, contribute an additional $ 5 million to the ASEAN COVID-19 Response Fund, and intensify the joint vaccine production and technology transfers.
