After holding a meeting with the Regional Manager for Mercosur of Copa Airlines, Carlos Antunes, Avilés said that “it is very important news for both Córdoba and Copa Airlines that the airline operations of the company are resumed at our hub.”
“I congratulate and thank the entire technical team of Copa and the Agency for their enormous willingness so that the reactivation of our airport today takes a more than important step,” added the official.
Avilés said that he hopes that “this will be a trigger for the company to continue adding frequencies and developing its activity in Córdoba.”
“We celebrate the fact that the decisions that we have requested from the nation for a long time are being taken. We want this basic flight scheme to be expanded to recover the hub we had,” Avilés completed.
Thus, starting next Tuesday, the Panamanian company will connect the city of Córdoba with the Panamanian capital with three weekly flights.
The flights will be carried out in Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a capacity for 154 passengers.
