preparation: Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add the penne and cook as directed on the label. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking water and drain the pasta. Empty the tomatoes in a bowl and crush them with your hands.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened (3 minutes). Add the garlic and red pepper and stir for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add vodka, tomatoes and salt to taste.
Cook again over low heat, stirring frequently, until the alcohol has evaporated (7 minutes). Add the heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens (3 minutes). Add the Parmesan cheese and basil. Add the pasta to the sauce and stir to combine, adding a little of the reserved water if necessary. Serve topped with more Parmesan and basil.
Preparation time: 20 minutes.
Ingredients (4 servings):
- 1 bar of chocolate to melt.
- Silicone molds or balloons.
Instructions: wash and dry the silicone molds or balloons well. If you’re using balloons, blow them up so they look like little balls. Melt the chocolate in a saucepan over low heat.
When melted, submerge the balloons so they form a bowl shape. If you’re using silicone molds, pour the melted chocolate inside so the mold is covered.
Place the balloons and/or molds on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Put them in the refrigerator and wait for them to harden. To remove the balloon, cut the knot and let the balloon deflate. Remove the chocolate from the silicone mold carefully as well. Now fill them with fruit, cream or whatever you want.
