Founded in 2015, DAZN is a combat sports streaming platform that has seen great success over the years. When it first launched, DAZN was only available in four countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan, but has since grown to compete with ESPN+. DAZN now spans more than 200 countries, offering live and on-demand boxing content, offerings that include fights, documentaries, news, interviews, analysis and an archive of classic fights from over three decades. If you’re thinking of signing up – and you’ve heard something about a free DAZN trial – we’ve got all the up-to-date details here.
Is there a free DAZN trial?
There used to be a DAZN free trial, but unfortunately it’s gone now. It’s becoming increasingly common in recent years for streaming services to offer trial periods, especially after launch, only to drop them when they’ve amassed a substantial customer base. For example: there is also no free trial of ESPN+, no free trial of Hulu with Live TV, and of course: DAZN is no exception.
DAZN previously offered a 30-day free trial to all new subscribers in many countries. This was after DAZN had first launched and needed to compete with other streaming services to attract new customers. However, as it grew and became more established in the market, the number of regions where the DAZN free trial was offered began to shrink more and more. At the end of 2021, only new subscribers in Japan could enjoy a free trial, but this also disappeared at the beginning of 2022. So if you are thinking of signing up for DAZN and want to try it first, we are sorry to communicate that you will not be able to.
Can you get DAZN for free?
As with the now-discontinued DAZN free trial, there is no way to get DAZN for free. When signing up, you will have to pay $20 per month, or sign up for the annual plan by paying $150 upfront, which would be equivalent to paying $12.50 per month, saving you $90 over a year. The benefit of the monthly plan is that there is no contract or permanence commitment, and you can cancel it at any time.
Third-party retailers or service providers (internet or cellular) sometimes offer free or discounted streaming subscriptions for the purchase of select items or subscriptions to service plans, but we are not currently aware of such offers for DAZN. Usually these streaming deals are for more popular and mainstream services like Netflix, Hulu, ESPN+ or the Disney Bundle. As we said above, the best DAZN “deal” right now is to sign up for the annual plan for $150, which saves you $90 after a year. If you’re not sure about purchasing an annual membership, you can always pay $20 and try it out for 30 days… then sign up for the annual plan, pay for another month, or simply cancel your membership.
