More than 150 Canadian tourists were received this Tuesday at the Scarlett Martínez de Río Hato International Airport, after the restart of operations of the Canadian airline Air Transat which operates direct tourist flights from Canada, with one weekly flight and two weekly flights (Monday and Tuesday) as of December 13, 2021.
On the other hand, the Canadian airline Sunwing announced the restart of its operations from December 17 of this year with a weekly flight and then two weekly flights (Monday and Friday) from December 20, as confirmed by the airlines to Tocumen, S.A. airport operator located in Hato River.
Both airlines will carry out 12 charter flights during the month of December to the airport Scarlett martinez with tourists from Canada, who will enjoy Panamanian cuisine and our beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.

The reactivation of these charter flights is contemplated in the National Government’s strategy, aimed at the recovery of the country’s economy, under the leadership of President Laurentino Cortizo and his Tourism Cabinet.
The Canadian tourists were received by the general administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority, Iván Eskildsen, Jorge Aued, manager of Tocumen regional airports, Julio Palacios, the governor of the province of Coclé, Eric Domínguez, mayor of the Antón district, Ibeth Navas representative of the town of Río Hato and representatives of the tourism sector of the province of Coclé.
