Disney Plus will offer a cheaper level with advertising | Digital Trends Spanish

Disney Plus has become one of the most important streaming platforms in the last year. The service has managed to add clients with successful productions such as The Mandalorian, in addition to several exclusive Marvel productions.

Now, as a way to continue incorporating users, the company is evaluating offering a new subscription level. According to an article in Varietythe platform could include before the end of this year a cheaper level that would include advertisements.

This new service would be launched first in the United States and then it would reach other markets. The company’s announcement anticipates that this international expansion of the new plan could occur in 2023.

“Expanding access to Disney Plus to a broader audience at a lower price is a win for everyone: consumers, advertisers and our storytellers,” said Kareem Daniel, president of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, in the Variety article.

“More consumers will be able to access our amazing content. Advertisers will be able to reach a larger audience and our storytellers will be able to share their amazing work with more fans and families.”

For now, it is unknown how much this new cheaper subscription level of Disney Plus could cost. It should be remembered that the service was launched in 2019 in the United States and currently reaches a value of $7.99 dollars in that territory, being one of the most popular platforms along with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV +.

In the case of Latin America, customers who wish can hire a combo that, in addition to Disney Plus, also includes Star Plus.
