The channels that are part of the Star Premium pack have their days numbered on television. According to a Zapping TV post on their Blog, Disney has made the determination to eliminate this pack next year.
Thus, those who have contracted these channels will be able to enjoy them until January 31, 2022, which is the last day they will be available.
It should be remembered that these channels previously appeared as Fox Premium and are part of the programmatic grids of different satellite and cable television companies that operate in Latin America.
According to the announcement, this will affect the Star Hits, Star Series, Star Action, Star Fun, Star Classics, Star Comedy, and Star Cinema channels that are part of this premium package.
It has also been reported that people who are subscribed to this service will be able to continue using the channels until the aforementioned date, or they can cancel the subscription early.
The package consists of seventeen channels in standard quality and seven in high definition. The latter transmit content in original language and without commercial breaks.
Programming includes series and films from 20th Century Fox, MGM, Paramount, Lionsgate and Summit.
It should be remembered that, at the end of August, Disney launched its Star Plus streaming platform in Latin America, which has been well received by users, who have been able to access exclusive and original content from the company.
The service was also launched through a combo, which allowed people to purchase Star Plus and Disney Plus at a reduced launch price.
