Ewan McGregor uses the Force in real life to open doors | Digital Trends Spanish

Following the release of the official trailer, Star Wars fans are counting down the days until the Obi-Wan Kenobi series finally hits Disney Plus, which should happen on May 25. This is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it will allow us to find out what happened to the Jedi Master after the events of Revenge of the Sith.

Since the first images of the series were known, there has been an important flow of information about this new Lucasfilm project, including a funny interview that its protagonist, Ewan McGregor, gave to Entertainment Weekly.

The conversation served for the English actor to advance part of what can be seen in fiction, but also to confess that he is capable of using the typical powers of the Jedi in his day to day, when nobody sees him, especially the Force that so much characterizes these masters. According to McGregor, when this happens he feels powerful.

“I always do a little Jedi move with the doors. You know, for fun. And sometimes I’ve been caught doing it. Like when I go to the supermarket or something like that when I’m pulling the cart… I always do it for fun, it makes me laugh, but every now and then I get caught doing it, and it makes me a little embarrassed. It’s hard not to, isn’t it? It’s fun. If you do it at the right time, you feel very powerful, ”he acknowledged.

The actor also noted that he has tried to use the mental powers of the Jedi with his children, although without much success. “My children are totally immune to the whole Jedi mind trick. Do not care. It doesn’t work on them,” he adds.

In addition to McGregor, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will feature Hayden Christensen, Rupert Friend, Joel Edgerton, and Moses Ingram, among others.
