Fernández de la Vega condemns Vox’s macho insults to Montero: “We are going to continue exercising politics without being crushed”

The former Vice President of the Government María Teresa Fernández de la Vega has made a plea this Friday in favor of Irene Montero and against the macho insults for her by the Vox deputy Carla Toscano. At that moment, to the applause of those present, he addressed Montero: “What happened the other day cannot happen again. We are not going to allow that to happen.”

This Wednesday, in the debate on the 2023 Budgets in Congress, the far-right deputy Carla Toscano not only called Montero “liberator of rapists”, due to the reduction of some sentences when the law of ‘only yes is yes’, he also disqualified her by assuring that “her only merit” is “having studied Pablo Iglesias in depth.”
