Doctors discovered that addiction to Fortnite it had to do with a form of mourning for the death of a relative; in this case, the game became “a haven for his emotional distress.”

Hospitalization made it possible to reduce the use of screens, with which the child gradually improved his behavior since in the beginning, the devices were used only to contact other people. In addition, the boy was able to realize how addiction to Fortnite it affected his life.

The specialists who worked with the minor assure that parents should pay attention to possible changes in children’s behavior, which may be associated with the use of video games in general, beyond Fortnite. Likewise, it is not the first time that a similar case has occurred: in Great Britain, a girl also presented symptoms of addiction to the game in question, similar to those of the Spanish adolescent.
