Five Sega Genesis games come to Nintendo Online | Digital Trends Spanish

The Nintendo Switch Online service has been quietly adding more games to its catalog of classics and now it is the turn of five Sega Genesis titles that add to the Expansion Pack category of the Switch.

These games are Altered Beast, ToeJam & Earl, Dynamite Headdy, Sword of Vermilion Y Thunder Force II. The five are added to the seven that are already present and that make up all the extras in the most expensive category of the Nintendo service.

So far, and beyond the Sega Genesis games, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack has added very interesting titles; one of the most recent was Paper mario of Nintendo 64, and the promise of Nintendo for the future is to continue increasing the catalog with names like F-Zero X Y The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

However, for many people the perception is still that the additions to the Expansion Pack are not so great that the service is still considered expensive. Initially, Nintendo Switch Online had a very low price of just $ 20 dollars, which did not add too many extras but did allow to play online.

The arrival of the Expansion Pack, on the other hand, changed the landscape because although the initial plan remains at $ 20, this new plan costs $ 50 in its individual version or up to $ 80 in the family version, which allows it to be shared among more people. And the key point of this price increase has to do with the extras: for now, although these are good or at least interesting games, Nintendo’s offer is far from what similar services such as Xbox offer.
