For the second consecutive day, no deaths from COVID-19 are reported in Panama

For the second consecutive day, no deaths from Covid-19 were reported in the country, while a figure of 5.7 million vaccines was applied, indicates the daily statement of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

The vaccination report provided by the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) reveals that to date a total of 5,797,679 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 from Pfizer and AstraZeneca have been applied in the country. 3,037,711 have been applied in the first dose; 2,667,214 in second dose; 87,571 booster doses and 5,183 in third doses.

Coverage with the first dose reaches 87.9% of the target population and 77.2% of that population with the second dose.

Epidemiological Report

En the world, as of October 28, a total of 245,179,357 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 4,975,680 deaths for a fatality of 2%.

In Panama there are already a total of 472,197 confirmed cases, of which 140 are new, nor no deaths are reported in the last 24 hours for a total of 7,314 deaths and a lethality of 1.5%.

7,051 tests were carried out yesterday for a positivity percentage of 1.9%. In addition, 195 recovered were added for a total of 462,681.

Active cases are 2,202 with 2,015 in home isolation and 187 hospitalized. Those who are in home isolation are divided 1,926 at home and 89 in hotels, while those hospitalized are distributed in 155 in wards and 32 in ICU.
