George RR Martin talks about the end of Game of Thrones | Digital Trends Spanish

When Game of Thrones was released in 2011, many fans wanted to know how the book series developed by George RR Martin was going to unfold on the screen.

However, as fiction progressed on television, it became clear that the HBO writers moved away from what was narrated in the author’s work. This did not please Martin.

In an interview with Chicago PBS radio, the writer expressed his regret for letting game of Thrones out beyond the book series.

While he said the series changed his life in a good way, he also explained that his biggest problem was not working hard enough to make sure the show had followed the main story lines he had envisioned for the characters.

“Looking back, I wish I had been ahead of the books,” Martin explained.

“When they started the series, I already had four books in print, and the fifth came out just as the series started in 2011. I had a five-book lead. And they are gigantic books, as you know. I never thought they would reach me, but they did. They caught up with me and they passed me and, you know, that made it a little strange, because now, the series was ahead of me and the series was going in somewhat different directions. “

The author also noted that its ending will be different from that of the series, although he did not indicate a date of when it could be ready.

“I’m still working on the book, but they’ll see my end when it comes out,” he explained.
